Colin Blower Motorsport

History

The business was established in 1973. The main business at that time was road car based specialising in performance cars such as Jaguars, BMW's, Mercedes etc. We also catered for crash repairs, bodywork and respays.  Our motorsports and competition department was set up at the same time mainly to look after Colin's Race cars. Because of Colin's success on the track fellow competitors brought their race cars to him to have the same treatment. After the first two seasons spent with an MGB and a Lotus Eurpoa, Colin had good fortune to get assistance from Martin Lilly who was the then owner and managing director of TVR Cars Blackpool.

Colin Had great success with the Marques and raced for them up until 1982 culminating in two championship titles one being the BRDC production sports car championship and in total won 150 races and 9 championship titles.

Other projects include preparing and racing a 1965 Lola T70 Spyder-ex Denny Hulme in which Colin finished on the podium twice at Goodwood revival and also a Ford RS200 for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
